Oregon Raindrop Fund invests in progressive causes, organizations, and leaders. These partnerships help realize meaningful impacts toward a thriving democracy.
Your Letter of Inquiry is the starting point.
Eligibility
The Progress Initiative supports:
- Progressive organizations whose work aligns with one of our priority areas
- Organizations doing work in rural and exurban areas of Oregon outside of Portland
- 501(c)(4) organizations and, to a limited extent, 501(c)(3), multi-entity organizations and Political Action Committees serving communities in Oregon
- Organizations must be incorporated in Oregon, have an established and engaged board of directors, set financial practices and be in good standing with State and Federal agencies
- Fiscally sponsored entities can be sponsored by an out of state organization but should only do work in Oregon.
- Or
- A committee, coalition or entity that is ready to launch a 501(c)(4) organization
Limitations:
Oregon Raindrop Fund does not support
- Federal or State candidates
- Direct services, events or sponsorships
- Out of state organizations or work
- Organizations that are not in good standing with State and Federal agencies
Letter of Inquiry
We invite Letters of Inquiry from eligible organizations on a rolling basis. Based on a review of LOIs, Oregon Raindrop Fund may ask to learn more about your organization and efforts. Please share in brief (up to 3 pages).

- What are your organization’s goals or the specific project goal?
- How will you accomplish your goals or measure progress?
- What impact will you have?
